A Buckeye Belle Peony is a dark red, maroon-like peony. This painting is loosely based on a Buckeye Belle variety, with that classic mid-century mint green as the background color, and a yellow ochre edge with diamonds and dots as the decorative element which really sets this piece off and makes it shine. I'm excited to see this painting find its new home, she's a cutie. Cheers!
