Hi, my name is Red. I'm originally from a small town in South Carolina. I grew up in a little house on a lake and trained horses for ten years until it was time to fully focus on university. I studied Painting and photography at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. After university, I travelled and worked as a barista until I was offered an apprenticeship by my friend and mentor, Bryan Spencer.
These days, I can be found in Richmond, VA at Unkindness Art. Though I work in a variety of styles, my work has largely been described as illustrative. I am continuously growing and evolving as an artist, and I dearly appreciate anyone who allows me to put art on their bodies. Each and every one of you means the world to me.
When I'm not tattooing, I enjoy bike rides, hiking, rock climbing, rainy/foggy weather, reading, painting, making photographs, drinking coffee, and gardening.
